This archive is corrected in public. If a date, a line-up year, a release detail or an appearance here is wrong or missing, the fastest way to fix it is to send the source.

What is worth sending

Anything that puts a claim on firmer ground than it currently sits on. In practice that means a link: a festival schedule, a promoter or venue calendar, a chart entry, an award citation, a label listing, or contemporary coverage with a date on it. A screenshot works. A memory, on its own, does not, however accurate it turns out to be.

The gaps most worth closing are the early Brisbane years. The register opens in 2014 because that is where the sources open, not because nothing happened before it: 2012 and 2013 are almost certainly the busiest years in the band's history and are the thinnest here. Any dated listing from that period changes the shape of the whole page.

The other open gap is personnel on the 2026 album, which was made under a rotating arrangement rather than by a fixed band. The archive does not record who played what on it, and would rather leave that blank than guess.

What happens next

Every submission is checked against the source that came with it. If the source holds, the entry changes, and where the change is substantial it is written up in the archive notes so the reasoning is visible rather than silent. If it cannot be checked, it is kept on file but not published. That is not scepticism about the sender; it is the same rule that applies to everything else here, and it is the only reason the rest of the register is worth anything.

Where two sources disagree, the conservative reading wins and the entry says so. Where a correction would make an entry more precise than its evidence allows, it is declined with the reason given.

Nothing here is stamped in a hurry. A correction is only made once there is a source for it, and the source is what the change is recorded against.

What this archive will not do

It will not pass a message to the band, forward a demo, arrange an interview or answer for anything the band has said or done. There is no connection between the two. For anything of that kind the band's own site is waaxband.com.

It will not publish sleeve artwork, press photographs or lyrics, whoever sends them. Those remain the copyright of their holders. It will not publish anyone's pronouns, contact details or private information, and it will not record a claim about a named person that cannot be checked.

There is no form here on purpose. A form would collect less than an email does, and this archive has no use for anything beyond what you choose to write.

Messages are read in the order they arrive and answered when there is something worth saying back. A correction that comes with a source usually needs no reply beyond the change itself, which will appear on the page rather than in an inbox. A question about how something was recorded will get an answer, because the reasoning behind an entry is as much a part of the record as the entry. Anything that would require this archive to speak for the band, or to guess at something it cannot check, will get a short reply saying so.

What should I send?

A correction, a missing appearance, or a detail the archive has wrong, with whatever source you have behind it. A link to a schedule, a listing, a review or a chart entry is worth more than a long description.

What happens to what I send?

It is checked against the source. If the source holds, the entry changes and the change is noted. If it cannot be checked, it is kept but not published, because an unverified entry would make the rest harder to trust.

Can you pass a message to the band?

No. There is no connection between this archive and the band. The band's own site is waaxband.com and that is the right route.

Will you publish photographs or artwork I send?

No. Sleeve artwork, press photographs and lyrics remain the copyright of their holders and are not reproduced here, however they arrive.

Every answer above rests on a dated source. Where one is missing, the entry stays open rather than being filled in.
